Creeper Trail Depot is your one-stop source for information on the Virginia Creeper Trail, Appalachian Trail,

Come on in for friendly advice on the best camping, backpacking, hiking, fishing, lodging and mountain biking opportunities that can be found along the Virginia Creeper Trail, Appalachian Trail, area streams and the Mt. Rogers National Recreation Area. We’re located on the east-end of downtown Damascus right on the Virginia Creeper Trail and Appalachian Trail corridor milepost 16. The white blazed Appalachian Trail passes right in front of our location and the Virginia Creeper Trail borders the property line on our left. You can literally backpack, mountain bike or drive right to our door. 

At SunDog Outfitter we house over 5000 square feet of backpacking, camping and outdoor gear as well as a full line of mountain bikes and accessories all at our off-the-beaten-path great prices! We have bicycle rental and shuttle service for the Virginia Creeper Trail and we shuttle thru-hikers or day-hikers to points along the Appalachian Trail. We are a designated drop-point for packages and letters for Appalachian Trail hikers and we are a designated contact point for thru-hikers along the AT.

We also have a Subway located within our complex, which makes it very convenient to grab a sandwich before or after your ride on the Virginia Creeper Trail or your day-hike along the Appalachian Trail.
